Overview

This is an animation meme of Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4 dancing. Referencing to the YouTube video while playing the song "Stay with Me" by Miki Matsubara.

Previous Animation

I started this as a meme animation I want to finish sometime in 2023.

The more I looked at this, the less satisfy I got. There are some problems with these images. Too much to be honest.

Here are the listings:

The shape of the hands seems morph.
The face of Naoto looks nothing like her.
Short Arms.
Improper proportions of the Torso.

These set have there own problems as well and made it worse in my opinion.

The face is distorted (even in reverse).

Layout Sketch

These are the basic sketch for the angles for Naoto. It helps out the layout for the animation

Rough Animation

This was worked something around March 2024 - May 2024

This is the rough sketch of the Naoto Dance based on the Yakuza 0 Dance Club. This was made to be as a guide.

How the body moves, and how the body placement works.

Colored Animation

This animation was worked on from May 2024 to Oct 10, 2024

This is the colored animation with strokes and some fixes from the original sketch. Now I need to work on the shadows, lights, and animation fixes.

Rendering

This animation was worked on from Oct 10, 2024 to March 27, 2025

It was a long process due to outside force like job searching, and work. But it paid off. The buttons has shadow and lights and all of the frames. As well as the head being adjusted, arms changed in length, cuffs change size, fixing some animation errors in terms of positions, and tracing my hands to make it less blurry.

Background Layout

The best place I can think of relating to both Persona 4 and Yakuza 0 is the Midnight Channel Entrance. The best place to have other YouTubers watching her dance.
