Hi, I'm David Zhao, a digital designer in illustration, animation, and storytelling.

Over the past 5+ years, I’ve worked in illustration, animation, and visual design using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Lately, I’ve developed my skills through my own YouTube content, starting with short-form videos in animation and now expanding into tutorials that teach others what I’ve learned.

I collaborated with KaleidoscopeME® to create educational and lifestyle content for younger audiences. My contributions included producing a music video and a GoFundMe video, with support from the team.

When I’m not editing or animating, you’ll find me gaming, sketching, or working in the garden—always exploring creativity in one form or another.

Credentials

I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

My major was New Media Design. New Media Design teaches UI/UX Design, Visual Communication, Motion Graphics, and Animation.

I specialize in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe InDesign.

I’m also learning how to use Unity 2D.

This video I helped create for the Savage-Katz Production is named “KaleidoscopeME® In Action!“

They wanted me to tell a story that matches the lyrics of the song “Love, Peace, and Harmony” by BRAXTON. & JB. As a result, the client is amazed that her video has become a reality.

This video only took me a little over a month to finish.
